Leap year offers another reason to scout for deals in February (Valentine"s Day being the other red-letter date that month). In honor of leap year, the Westlake Village Inn will charge $29 for a second night on a midweek stay through the end of the year. And who doesn"t need an extra day to be away?
The deal: Here"s how the Leap year discount works: Pay the best available rate for the first night and $29 for the second night. The offer is good Sundays-Thursdays only. Free Wi-Fi and continental breakfast come with all stays at the 141-room inn, which just received four diamonds in the 2012 AAA Awards.
When: The offer is good for reservations made between now and Feb. 29 for travel through Dec. 30. Some blackout dates apply, and the deal is based on availability.
