Jimmy Buffett"s Margaritaville Casino going for a margarita record
Last October, to the strains of mariachis, Ricardo"s of Las Vegas Mexican restaurant laid claim to breaking the record for the world"s largest margarita --- 7,500 gallons using more than 6,000 bottles of tequila and triple sec.
According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, then-mayor Oscar Goodman poured the last bottle into a 14-foot-tall tank holding 7,500 gallons of margarita, which poured 80,000 12-ounce servings.
